Blog Re-Done

Blog OVERHAUL! I was bored and re-did the CSS behind the blog and added links to the games in the sidebar so you don't have to sift through posts (like this one) to find them. I really love the background and title. Purple is awesome ^_^! And a new poll for anyone interested. That's all for now, I made a little more progress on Plink! but nothing post-able.

Status Report!

I was getting sick of all these being called updates. Anywho, the new game, that now has a name by the way, is well underway. I have about 6 hours in and that had accomplished, a theme idea, a title, no more bugs in the physics engine (I hope), and a working, moving title page. Most importantly it has a link here to the magic blog lol. So the title like you've been waiting for is: Plink! I know kinda dumb but it grows on you. The reason i chose that was that when I was testing the physics it reminded me of Plinko on the price is right lol the good old days with Bob. Any way the game-play is still kinda just a brainstorm. I have a few good concepts for it and I think this one will turn out to be a keeper. That's all for now.

Another update (GAME IDEA)

Okay I'm a lazy ass, but I have a game I just started. I have gotten 2 hours in so far and this one is starting to look like a 100-200 hour one. It is pretty much just playing with vertical physics. Kinda how Handling was playing with horizontal physics. I think I'm gonna do a lot more with graphics on this one then I did on my last one. I don't have a title yet, I only have half the engine done. It will be a puzzle like game.

So summery it will be:
•Physics Based
•Puzzle Style
•Pretty
•Maybe actually have sound
(if I feel like it)

Any random names to fit that?
or maybe suggestions on themes or colors etc.?

New Game: Handling

This one took for freaking ever. I hope you enjoy it. I haven't tested it that much so tell of any bugs and what not. Sorry it took 2 months I'm aiming for one a month but this one was kinda big.
My best time is 5:33 with the red car but after playing every level 16 million times while making it I don't have much desire to try and beat it.
I have no idea what to make for next month so drop a suggestion or what not in the comment box.

Okay its been a month and no new game. I'm working on one that will POSSIBLY be done next month. I'll give you this, it will be a hell of a lot better then that rock paper scissors thing I made. I'm kinda busy nowadays but I'll do the best I can. As for the blog I might get some ad's I don't know yet but for now I like the appearance but im open to suggestions. Drop a comment if you don't like the blogs looks right now and have some suggestions. That's about it for now and thanks to all of you for making my first moth not completely hit less.

I personally suck at music but I'm damn good at finding it so I'm gonna list off my top 5 obscure-ish bands a description and maybe some links. So lets begin...

#5: The Breathing Process

For a symphonic deathcore band from Connecticut they are not too shabby. My taste in music is rather odd but metal that is just a constant rush of unrecognizable noise is annoying to say the least. I am a fan of heavy music. Note I said music not incessant noise. So as for a metal band these guys, and a chick, bring the brutal but, here's the catch, they bring the music too. I know shocking. They are fairly unknown but very well produced. I enjoy the fact that they are still musical in a genre that is constantly losing touch with that concept.

#4: Globus

Globus in one word; epic. Epic can barely describe how intense this orchestral ensemble can get. I'm not one for classical but those intense pieces in movies always get your heart racing. Globus seems to be designed to blow those others out of the water. With its amazing composure and top noch orchestra composer Yoav Goren's dream is reality. The music will make you want to slow down time and swich between multiple camera angles. So if your ever looking to make something more intense just do it to some Globus.

#3: VNV Nation

This electric duo shows that techno isn't always party music. In the ebm section of techno music these guys rock it out with intense electric sounds. The almost eerie music coped with a intense voice seems like it has the potential to creep you the hell out and maybe make you join a cult or something. But like the bands title (Victory not Vengeance = VNV) the lyrics and melodies jump in to make it oddly motivational. Its oddly but awesomely happy. And i guess you still party to it.

#2: Turmion Kätilöt

Computers alone are entertaining and so is hardcore metal but when you combine the two you get something out of this world. This Finnish industrial/experimental band has found a way to rock out the crazy metal to upbeat eclectic sounds. Coping traditional and eclectic their sound isn't just unique its good too. It's the only metal I've ever wanted to dance to. Its like trying to go back and forth from the dance floor to the mosh pit and getting caught in between.

#1: Streetlight Manifesto

Streetlight manifesto has taken the ska genera to a new level. They show that being a band geek can be cool as they show off their talent with fast paced good sounding songs that include wind instruments and rock beats. They make my dance when I don't want to. It's so easy to get caught up in their catchy tunes and fast lyrics and I often find myself singing along. Their popularity is growing so you may have heard them but they are yet to hit it big. So if your looking for a good time grab some Streetlight.
